We are animals, we are meant to move; we are built to move. Not moving is probably the worst thing we can do to ourselves. Our bodies thrive on fitness. When we exercise at slowly progressive levels to improve our fitness, our bodies and our minds reward us.
I have learned from the times that I have taken a “vacation” from my exercise routine, that I NEED to workout. It seems like I eat worse, sleep less, and feel all kinds of stress that weighs me down. Exercise seems to drive the rest of my health.
When you think you hate exercise, it could be that your body is simply out of balance from lack of exercise. Just like getting out of shape was a gradual process, so is getting back in shape…it takes time and patience. Try to remember that your body is always moving on a continuum…it’s either moving toward fitness or away from it. I honestly believe the rest of your life will be easier if you choose to move toward fitness.
What do you think? Do you NEED to workout?
