I watched the finale of America’s Got Talent last week and like most of America, I was facinated with 10 year old Jackie Evancho. She’s endearing because other than her amazing gift, she acts like any other 10 year old. Most of the time she’s a kid doing kid things with kid friends. But for about an hour a day she focuses on her passion, singing opera…a passion that makes her unlike any of her kid friends.
Jackie teaches us that it’s the things that make us unique that add the most value. Maybe we should worry less about fitting in and focus more on the things that make us different. What makes you “uniquely you?”
