Please don’t become a great version of what someone else thinks you should be. Don’t get caught up in the mistakes or adversity of your past either. I’m living my life one mistake at a time and I’m proud of that. That’s not to say I’m proud of the mistakes but I wouldn’t be where I am without the lessons. The mistakes and the adversity we struggle with make us stronger. They offer perspective and depth of experience. They make us less judgmental and more compassionate. We’re not defined by our past. We’re defined by how we move forward.
You define you. What are your values? What matters most? What are your dreams? It’s not where you’ve been that matters, it’s where you’re headed. So define yourself because you’re worth it.
